We want everyone to live a little more LOHAS. We know that no matter who you are, where you live or what you do for a living, embracing a little LOHAS in your daily life will make you feel great, support the planet and lead a fuller life... not bad for a day's work.
There is no single way to define LOHAS; believe us, we've tried. We know that how you choose to live your lifestyle of health and sustainability is an individual choice and different for everyone. We've also noticed that there are three themes common to people's lifestyles of health and sustainability. We call these the 3C's of the LOHAS Philosophy.
1. Care: Put simply, people who live LOHAS care. About our own health, that of our family and friends and of the planet in general. We care about what we put in our mouths, what we put on our bodies, what happens to our waste, what conditions the woman who stitched our clothes works in, whether the farmer who grew our food was fairly paid for it...
2. Conscious: So much of our lives in this day and age are spent on autopilot. In contrast, people who live LOHAS live consciously. We take that fraction of a second to think, about what we buy, what we eat, where things come from, what happens to them after we finish using them. And by doing so, we appreciate things more.
3. Choice: And lastly, LOHAS is about choice. One that reflects that we care and that we are conscious about our decisions and our impact. We make hundreds, if not thousands of choices every day. Making them a better choice.
